Harland County Christmas #MySexySaturday #MSSWeek71 @Donna_Michaels

My Sexy Saturday Blog Hop!

Hello, it's week #71! Welcome to My Sexy Saturday where authors post 7 words, sentences or paragraphs from a published book or WIP.

This week we're talking about Our Sexy Little Words. Words our characters say to each other during those oh so sexy scenes. Before, during, and after the moans, gasps, and big moment. Words add to the sexy that never ends.

In my brand new release, a holiday prequel novella to my Harland County Series Brock is a hardworking ranch hand trying to save up enough money to payoff his grandmother's mortgage and eventually buy a ranch of his own. Jen has a rule against dating cowboys, especially since she's finishing up her Master's in Accounting and heading to Houston in the spring. But when her incredible one-night-stand turns out to be the temporary new hire at the family ranch, I make them reconsider their plans. ☺

Here's 7 sexy paragraphs from:

Here's my 7 paragraphs of Sexy Little Words being spoken between Brock and Jen:

“I’ve thought of nothing but this since this afternoon,” he murmured against her lips. “Every damn second of the day.”
“Me, too.” She shook against him.
In a swift move, he lifted her up, and she grabbed at his hat before it fell to the floor.
“Where’s your room?” His voice was raw with the same need burning her from the inside out.
“Down that hall, first door on the left.” She motioned with his hat, her mouth nipping playfully at his jaw, while he carried her to her room in record time.
After he stepped inside, he kicked the door closed with his foot, and let her slowly slide down his hard, hot body. He was killing her again. Stepping back, she set his hat on her dresser, reached for the bottom of her sweater, and yanked it up over her head before dropping it on the floor, giving him full view of her black, lacy bra.
“Hot.” His gaze glittered as he stalked her to the bed, removing his shirt as she walked backward, exposing the lickable muscles and ridges her body wanted to explore again.
She dropped her gaze to the thick, mouthwatering bulge behind his zipper and heat shot between her legs. “Definitely.”
“You keep looking at me like that and I’m going to burst,” he said, following her down when she fell backward onto the mattress. “And take you with me,” he said against her neck, his tongue swirling and licking, lips sucking and biting as his hands found hers and raised her arms above her head.
She arched into him, eliciting a groan that had him kissing a path over her cleavage while his hands trailed down her raised arms, over her shoulders, to cup her aching breasts. As if reading her mind, he brushed the black lace aside to expose her beaded nipples. “Gorgeous.”

Royally Unleashed ~ @Donna_Michaels #MySexySaturday #MSSWeek65 #Saturday65

My Sexy Saturday Blog Hop!

Hello, I'm back for week #65 Welcome to My Sexy Saturday where authors post 7 words, sentences or paragraphs from a published book or WIP.

**"**The theme this week is  a sexy Halloween! **"**

This is the time of the year I always love to read those wonderful paranormal romances out there. How about you? I recently dusted off a paranormal WIP from my hard drive and released it this month in time for Halloween.

Book One in the Royally Unleashed Series has werewolves, vampires, and a grim, all on a fictitious island off the Romanian coast--the last known location of a missing girl. Enter one empathic, kick-ass, paranormal huntress, looking for her missing cousin, and let the fun begin.

Here's 7 sexy paragraphs of from:

Here's my 7 paragraphs of sexy from Pilar and Duncan:

 “I never cower.”
Proceed with caution. Her brain screamed the warning. All her weapons were upstairs in her room, including her silver jewelry. Her grip tightened on the pool stick and she eyed his lean frame. To use that on him would be pointless, like hitting a brick wall with a toothpick.
She shrugged her shoulders. “Whatever. I should know better than to question my instincts.” Deliberately turning her back to him, she leaned over the table and lined up another shot. Tension-filled air exploded into an atmosphere of raw, animal magnetism. Slammed by the sudden, fierce force of his hunger, she palmed the table for support. Holy shit, he was potent. Every single hair on her body stood up and vibrated, turning her into a passion receptor.
Had he shifted?
The man’s essence was so primal she swore a dog watched from behind. Chancing a glance over her shoulder, she gasped. He hadn’t shifted into a dog, but he had shifted to stand directly behind her. Desire blazed in his eyes with an intensity that spoke to her soul.
She couldn’t move. Didn’t want to move. She wanted…
Fabric from his pants skimmed her bare legs in an erotic caress when he leaned full out over her. Warm, sure hands teased her flesh and stirred her inner core as they ran up her torso, over her shoulders and down her arms before he stretched her wrists out on the table and nuzzled her neck.
“What do your instincts say about me now?”

Release Day for WYNE AND DINE by Donna Michaels

Released today!

Available Now at:

Blurb:

Lea Gablonski has two dreams: To work at a museum in NYC, and to gain other-than-sisterly attention from her best friend’s brother. So far, she’s 0 for 0. Though her MA in History is just a wall decoration at her family’s diner where she’s working while her dad recovers from surgery, she enjoys her visual encounters with the sexiest man alive—even though he would sooner pat her on the head than take her to bed.

Military born and bred, Battalion Supply Sergeant Benjamin Wyne thrives on order and control in his fulltime career in the PA National Guard, and in his personal life. But when he’s forced to ask his childhood sweetheart’s younger sister to pose as his girlfriend to thwart unwanted advances from his boss’ wife, his world turns chaotic. Lea is sweet and hot and tastes so damn good he’s addicted. When the attraction takes on a new level at his sister’s wedding, his carefully guarded heart begins to thaw.

But he’s seen many relationships go south. If he takes a chance and gives up control, will Lea be like her sister and leave him for a career in the big city? Yet, if he doesn’t, will the best damn thing to ever enter his life become history?

Excerpt:

“Thanks for helping me, Lea. I appreciate you giving up your weekend for me.”
She shrugged, trying to play it off as if it was no big deal. “Like I told you the other day, I had the time off, so it’s all good.”
He nodded, and she tried not to take offense at the relief washing through his features. “Good, because I don’t want you to get the wrong idea. I just need you to pretend to be my girlfriend when the others are around.”
“Especially Mrs. Dankirk.”
“Exactly. …” He paused, his gaze transferring to something out the window behind her.
Was it bad to wish it was the woman?
A second later, she wondered if the colonel’s wife was outside because when Ben’s attention returned to her again, his gaze was hot and interested and…consuming.
Her heart tried to burst from her chest. Then he shifted closer, sexy smile on his face trapping the breath in her lungs. She couldn’t blink. Forgot how to breathe. Just sat there watching the sexiest man alive lift a hand to cup her face.
Breathe, idiot! The last thing she needed was to faint. Not when she was about to get the kiss she’d dreamt about since puberty.
God, she hoped she was about to get the kiss she’d dreamt about since puberty…

They grow up so fast

Today's the day.

Today's the day we take my beautiful baby girl out of state to college to start a new chapter in her life. She'll be on her own studying Musical Theater, Writing and Acting/Directing.

We knew early on she enjoyed entertaining.

From preschool on up to high school where she became inducted into the Thespian Society. It was at a Thespian convention where Jes was approached by her college and was one of only 30 invited from across the country to audition for one of their limited scholarships. And won one. We are so proud!

So now it's with a sad but happy heart that we let go and watch our baby girl soar to new heights. Reach for her own dreams and snag them with both hands.

We love you Jestina, and we are so proud of you! ♥ Study hard. Enjoy your college years. Forge new friendships that will last a lifetime. Do not worry about home. Worry about you. This is your time to shine. Show the world what you have.

Break a leg!

Blurb:

A willing slave to possession, punishment, pleasure…

Dreams of a manor where submission and dominance once ruled draws Faith to hypnotherapist Colin Danes. Potently virile, he looks remarkably like her most cherished master from a past life. Desire smolders in his eyes, proving he’s never forgotten her.
Their carnal dance continues in the present and leads to their past when she was known as Eve. Through hypnotherapy, Colin brings her back to the Victorian era, a hidden estate where she eagerly submits to whatever he and her other noble masters crave. The exquisite discipline of the strap. Being bid on and mounted each night. Displayed and used for the enjoyment of all.
Most will take her. One will try to imprison her. Only he will be her true master in that life and this.

The advertisement challenged, Are your dreams so real they seem to have come from another time?
Faith Montgomery gripped the mail circular. Its paper made a sharp, crackling noise, no different from ice snapping.
Frigid wind swept past, delivering more snow. Feverish and unsettled, Faith stood in front of the medical arts building that catered to doctors, nutritionists, shrinks and hypnotherapists. Unlike Seattle’s typical brick or glass structures, this place had a granite façade and steepled ceilings. Similar to a castle where dominance, submission and punishment played out. Where men wore dated clothing, while women were nude, defenseless, sighing then crying out their arousal and pleasure.
Her mouth went dry.
From behind, a car’s horn blared, sending her pulse into a faster sprint. Traffic continued to crawl along the slick streets, headlights brushed past, illuminating the building’s directory. Faith didn’t bother to search it. According to the circular, his office was on the second floor. Her appointment in a few minutes, made earlier in the week by phone. The first time she’d heard his voice and yet not the first time.
“Why do you want an appointment?” he’d asked.
Something inside her had fluttered at his smooth baritone, enticing and strangely familiar, reducing her to silence.
“You’ve seen things,” he’d coaxed. “Felt things.”
God, yeah.
While he’d waited for her response, she’d stared at his picture on the glossy flyer.
Several locks of his hair—thick, wavy, the color of espresso—grazed his forehead. His strong, masculine features were handsome as hell, nearly aristocratic. In her mind, Faith saw him dressed in eveningwear, the kind worn during the early Victorian era. A coat with tails, snug at the waist to accentuate his impressive shoulders. Dark trousers and a shockingly white cravat. Identical to heroes in romance novels that she’d read in high school.
He definitely had those guys beat.
His long-lashed eyes were a striking blue. Even from the picture, they stripped Faith of all privacy, reaching into her soul, the same as the promise of his full, rich mouth. A hint of stubble graced his upper lip, chin and cheeks, virile and tempting. Young, possibly early thirties, he was the kind of man a woman wouldn’t forget.
Faith certainly hadn’t.
“Yeah,” she’d murmured during the call, at last answering him. “I’ve had recurring dreams, flashes of another time.”
You.
Rather than questioning her further, he’d given her the last appointment of the day, well past the time other professionals did business. His office windows were the only ones lit on the second floor, the lights’ golden glow spilling onto the street. Waves of snow, carried by the wind, twinkled like stars within the brightness.
Faith half-expected—and fully hoped—he’d be at the window, looking down at her. Watching. Waiting. Anticipating as she was.
He wasn’t.
His absence only stoked her stark need. Clearly, he had no doubt she’d keep their appointment. Now, as before, he commanded and figured she’d obey.
On an edgy sigh, she entered the building. Heated air and the scents of polished wood, leather, wool washed over her. In the absolute quiet, she heard each click of her heels across the floor, a dark-green marble veined with white.
Faith avoided slick spots made by others who’d come and gone, tracking in the snow. She should have worn more practical shoes in this weather, pants instead of a skirt, but hadn’t, sensing he wouldn’t have approved.
Like one possessed—or commanded by a Master—Faith climbed the stairs, reaching the second floor. The walls were paneled in polished walnut, which gave them the air of a private club where men called the shots. Their decisions law. Their desires the only rule that counted, no matter what they demanded. A woman’s full surrender to their needs. Having her down on her knees before them, her lips parted for the taste of a thickened cock or to release her whimper of delight at the strap one of them held, eager for him to discipline her.
Lightheaded and breathless, she stared at the hall. His office was at the end, the door open, a wedge of amber light demanding she go inside.
No receptionist greeted her in the snug waiting room. Faith hadn’t expected one, figuring he’d want them to be alone. Exactly what she craved.
She inhaled as deeply as she could. Leather from the burgundy chairs perfumed the small space, claiming it for a man. Beyond the reception area was his office, the door open. He stood at his desk, his attention on a book he read.
Her legs went watery. With indecent curiosity, she drank him in, the charcoal sweater and dark trousers that matched the color of his silky hair and fit his powerful frame so well. Broad shoulders. Muscular thighs. She forced down a swallow, knowing there was raw power in his strong hands. She’d dreamed of it, had seen glimpses in her mind.
And would do anything to experience it again.
As though he’d heard her thoughts, he closed his book with a faint snap and looked up.
Time shifted, the past bleeding into the present. Faith forgot to breathe or to step closer, trapped within his potent gaze, overwhelmed with a sense of recognition, irresistible and welcoming.
I know you…you know me.
Unmistakable longing flared in his eyes, the same yearning she felt. Beneath it was a flash of lust.
