Rebecca Grace--Character Interview--Shadows From The Past

Good morning, everyone!

Welcome to another Thursday blog where I get to do a Character Interview for one of my fellow 'Roses', who, like me, has one of their ebooks going to print from The Wild Rose Press. This is a fun way to get to know a protagonists from their stories, and one lucky commenter will win a copy of the featured author's print book. So join me every Thursday this month for your chance to win some great books!

This week I have the pleasure of featuring Rebecca Grace!

Becky Martinez or Rebecca Grace,  is an award-winning former broadcast journalist who has worked in newsrooms from the Northwest to San Diego and  from Las Vegas to Denver.

She now writes mystery, romance and romantic suspense fiction and non-fiction books on writing. She also teaches writing classes online, coaches writers and has been a speaker and panelist at writing conferences.

Today I'm interviewing Stacey Moreno from Rebecca's sensual 144 page novella SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, just released in print through The Wild Rose Press.

Hello. Thank you for being with us here today. Can you tell us your name?

My name is Stacey Moreno.

So, Stacey, where are you from?

I am from Portland, Oregon.

Please describe yourself in 7 words:

Can't to do anything right, except draw.

I bet that's not true, but I sure am intrigued.

What is your main occupation right now?

Well, I hate to admit it, but I don't have an occupation. My mother seems to think I should just take any job, but I would love to find one where I can use my artistic talents. But I don't know if I have time to worry about a career right now. My best friend just committed suicide. But I don't think she did. I think... well, someone threw her off that cliff. Or maybe she fell. But Helen was too strong to want to die. I just wish I could be more like her. She knew what she wanted.

How terrible. I hope you find out what happened to Helen.

Where are you living?

With my mother for now. But I'll get a place once I get a job. Right now though, I think I'm going to go over to the island where Helen died. I need some answers.

Stacey, how did you feel when you first set eyes on the love of your life?

I hate to admit this too, since I'm supposedly engaged, but I don't think Phillip is the love of my life, so I don't know.

Well, I hope you have the chance to figure it out.

If you could travel, where would you go?

I would go to France and study art.

Do you have a hobby?

I don't consider it a hobby, but I love to draw.  I have this cartoon character I draw -- Kendra.  She's smart and talented, kind of like Helen. And she can battle bad guys all day long. Sometimes I wish I could be more like her.

I'd like to be more like Kendra, too.

What is your main goal?

My main goal right now is to find a job so I can get my own place again. I was rooming with Helen until she took a job up north, working as an assistant to a writer. I don't know why a writer would need an assistant. But now that she's dead, I'm thinking, my goal should be... well, enough thinking of what I should be ... I think I'm going up north.  I think I'm going over to that island and to Redfern Manor.  I'm going to talk to that writer and find out what happened to Helen.

Good luck, Stacey. Be careful on that island. I hope you find the answers you need. Thank you for to taking the time out to talk with us today so others could get to know you and your story as told in SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, newly released in print through The Wild Rose Press.

Here's the intriguing cover and book blurb:

 Blurb:

Strange things are happening at Redfern Manor.  Stacey Moreno is no super heroine like the cartoon character she draws, but when her friend, Helen, dies at the manor, she realizes it is time she began to change. She wants to know the truth about how Helen died.

Mack Warren wants a peaceful life, but his new assistant, Stacey, has him thinking about more than the book he wants to write.
And then there are the unexplainable things that keep happening at the mansion.  Can Stacey unravel the mysteries of Redfern Manor before it’s too late.

Hope you enjoyed Stacey's interview today! SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, is available at Amazon.com, The Wild Rose Press.

Don't forget to leave a comment below, and one lucky commenter will win a print copy of  SHADOWS FROM THE PAST. J
